I've never lasted at a gym for more than 3 weeks and swore they just weren't for me. It's been two years since I've joined Crossfit and never in my life have I felt so strong and energized...physically, mentally and emotionally. The knowledge and high calibre of coaching never fails to impress me, and the other Crossfit members have become my friends. I'm so grateful for all of these benefits which far exceed any expectations I ever had. Now I can't imagine not being a part of the Crossfit Muskoka community...the rewards are priceless!
The first time you step into this place, your entire perspective changes. From the minute you arrive to the minute you leave, you are greated incredible support, and the best coaches around! Any size, any fitness level, from all walks of life- no judgement, just pure motivation and amazing results! This is more then just a "gym", it is a TEAM of people working on themselves, together. Can't say enough good things about XFM! They lay down awesome ground work and build you up physically and mentally to take on any challenge! Great place, Highly recommend it for anyone and everyone!
I've probably been a member of 20+ gyms in my life - none has even remotely approached the quality experience and results available to any and all at CrossFit Muskoka right here in Huntsville. The facility and equipment are excellent, the coaches are highly skilled and great teachers, the programming is varied, never boring, and is accessible to all ages and skill levels, and the community atmosphere is incredible. I'm closer to 60 than to 50, and if I can do it, anyone can! You gotta go!!
CrossFit Muskoka is fantastic! It is like no other gym around! I have been going to regular gyms my whole life, but when I found CrossFit Muskoka I knew I would never go to a regular gym again! The workouts are varied, fun and challenging all at the same time. The results speak for themselves! The coaches are top notch are their dedication to my fitness, health and lifestyle is exceptional. And on top of all that, the community and members are truly wonderful. I have made so many new friends at CrossFit Muskoka! Do yourself a favour and give it a try! You will not be disappointed!
Fours years ago I was diagnosed with a chronic pain disorder which really affected the quality of my life. The muscles in my arms had atrophied and my mobility was minimal. After some research my wonderful husband discovered Crossfit and we joined. Crossfit Muskoka has given me back my life. It's not only a facility to get strong and healthy in, it is a community! Today I can do anything I set my mind to. The Coaches are the most knowledgeable coaches I have ever met and their dedication to my health and growth is incredible! Every day I am inspired to live my best life. The laughter, the tears, the encouragement makes getting and staying healthy simply exciting! Besides, I'm about to turn 50 and recently deadlifted 220lbs! Booyah! Give yourself the most amazing gift you possible could and join Crossfit Muskoka!! --Watch your entire change!
September 27th, 2014: Today marks my second CrossFit-aversary... Two years at CrossFit Muskoka. I joined for a few reasons: I wanted to learn how to move properly, how to not have my lower back always go out, how to not just accept being flabby in my late 30s, and how to get stronger. When I joined there were many things I couldn't do, or couldn't do many of. Since "gym class" was not ever my thing, I had very low confidence in what I could do physically.
Two years later I still have a big list of things I would like to gain as superpowers, but I also know that I have learned how to move safely and efficiently in everyday life, that I have gained strength and confidence, and that my lower back is no longer an issue that gets in the way of work and home life.
I am so grateful to the coaches I have had over the past two years, and look forward to learning and growing more and more!
I am also very proud of those who I get to train with, and love seeing everyone get awesome at things they never thought they could do! :)
