At Lone Pine Canoe Company, we take pride in providing quality craftsmanship using quality materials. We specialize in repairing and restoring cedar-canvas and cedar-strip canoes. Repairs to other wood watercraft such as rowboats, kayaks, and wood-trimmed fiberglass canoes are also cared for in our shop. A select inventory of new, custom-ordered, and vintage cedar canvas canoes is available throughout the year.
The owner, Paul Burns, has 30 years of experience in building, restoring, and paddling cedar canvas and cedar strip canoes. He appreciates the story that each canoe that comes in to the shop has to tell, and takes great care in restoring them as closely as possible to its original condition. He is a member of the Wooden Canoe Builders Guild and also the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association.
We work in the shop most days of the week, but it’s greatly appreciated jf you call ahead before stopping by to see us so that we can plan for your visit. Appointments can also be made weekend or evening pickup, drop off, and delivery.
