The Frying Dutchman Co. opened on July 8, 2017 at 72 Main Street West in Huntsville.  The food is so amazing that you’d hardly know that the menu is all plant-based.  There are no animal products in the truck at all!  The Frying Dutchman is one of only five food trucks in all of Ontario that have an all plant based menu.  Huntsville now joins Toronto, Hamilton, St. Catherine's and Orillia in being able to offer a menu free of animal products.

     Being Muskoka's first animal product free food truck was an easy choice.  Not only is veganism and vegetarianism on the rise but with environmental, health and animal rights concerns in mind, many people are choosing to cease eating animal products - or at least cut back on their consumption.  The Frying Dutchman is unique as it allows people to enjoy plant based foods without any concern of mistaken orders or cross contamination with foods that contain egg, dairy, cheese or meat.  This is appreciated not just by vegetarians and vegans but by those who are lactose intolerant or have food allergies.  

     The Dutchman offers a traditional chip truck menu (burgers, pulled “pork”, hot dawgs, fries, and onion rings) as well as non-traditional items including a Chickpea Salad Sandwich and desserts like Moonpies (non-dairy ice cream sandwiched between two homemade chocolate chip cookies).
